Here I am, Kathy (Beilfuss) Gottlieb, Owner and Principal Designer for KatBlu.  You can call me Kathy, Kat, or KatBlu.  I spend my days working directly with customers, creating their one-of-a-kind invitations and announcements - and dreaming up new, beautiful designs.

In addition to the “what you love” side of KatBlu, we also run a retail side and digital photo card product line.  And in my spare time, I also consult with marketing clients and enjoy freelance photo styling.  I am a true artist and entrepreneur and love every bit of it.

On a personal note, My husband and I have five (yes, 5) kids, a conure parrot and the newest member of our family, a little lovable mutt (shown below).  We live in a rambling home located on the high banks of the historic Fox river where wildlife abounds, including bald eagles, wild turkeys and red foxes.  Its awesome and inspiring.

Here is a picture of our office dog, Suzi Chin (named after one of my favorite designers).  She was a stray that showed up at our door this past winter.  We let her in to warm up and locate her owner and bonded instantly over lox and bagels. Long story short, her owner couldn’t care for her so she is now part of our family.  A Chihuahua Beagle mix, she is funny looking and super loving.
